San Franciscito
I must tell you about this magnificent place we have found. Image a beach, not too big maybe two km long, nesseled among a coastline dotted with islands of various sizes, and water so blue you would think it was poured directly off a paintbrush. The sand is so white you can't even think of removing your sunglasses and it cascades down into the water like a sahara sand dune. The storeline is a host to many different types of sealife, starfish, sting ray, blow fish, crab, and angel fish, all of which you will see as you wander down the beach.
Not a breath of wind is blowing, a stillness like this I have never experienced, nothing is moving. As the sun begins to set, the sky starts to melt into the ocean turning the water a pink colour. You can't tell where the sky stops and the water begins.
As the day turns to night and the sky to black 2500 stars appear as far as the eye can see. Sitting on the beach and reflecting on the days events all you can hear is yourself breathing until out of no where in the darkness, sounding lonely, comes the slow hollow sound of a whale blowing in the not all that distant waters.
This San Franciscito is about 140 km south of Bahia de los Angeles on the roughest and sandiest road you could imagine. We pitched our tent on the top of the beach and spent a long night, because after the calmness of the day the wind picked up at around 9:00 pm. It battered us around all night but it was worth it. The next day the wind continued and so did we on our 540 km round trip through old missions, El Arco, Guerro Negro and back to Bahia de los Angeles. What a ride!

I just got back from doing a Baja 1000 mile trip that took us there...its probably the most amazing beach I've seen. After being battered on the trail ride up there its a welcome surprise. Had fresh fish tacos for lunch that were delicious!
I have a few pictures if you would like me to send them.
